Trusted Nurse Staffing, LLC is searching for a couple of Case Manager/Utilization Review Nurses interested in working a 13 week assignment in Buffalo, NY. There are opportunities for permanent placement with this client as well.
The Utilization Review Nurse utilizes member specific clinical information as well as client policy and/or defined criteria necessary to determine the medical necessity of requested items/services. The UR nurse, as necessary, will engage the Provider, Practitioner and Member, as well as the consult with the Client Management to facilitate the accurate and compliant determinations.
Qualifications:
1. Licensed Registered Nurse
2. Three (3) years of recent clinical experience in acute, sub-acute and/or skilled facility setting or two (2) years of recent utilization management experience.
3. Demonstrated transferable knowledge, skill and ability to complete job duties independently and proficiently.
4. Demonstrated ability to identify barriers to a successful care management path.
5. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers in include providers, physicians and members to promote effective plan of care and positive member outcomes.
6.. Proficient PC, Keyboarding and Windows skills requires, including MS Office.
7. Outstanding problem-solving, critical thinking, time management and organizational skills as well as adaptable to business needs to include work schedule and assignments.
8. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Maintains confidentiality and uses only the minimum amount of protected health information (PHI) necessary to accomplish job related responsibilities.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Provide high quality, professional utilization management services; prior authorization, pre-certification, concurrent and retrospective review for medical necessity.
2. Maintain Comprehensive Record Set:
3. Provide technical and professional expertise.
4. Accountable for performance improvement and metrics to meet corporate, departmental/team and individual goals.
