Kentfield Hospital is seeking a Staff Education Coordinator to join our team. Using discretion and independent judgment, the Staff Education Coordinator is in charge of assisting with coordinating the activities of nursing administration, Staff Education and Development issues of the facility. This position does provide direct and indirect patient care to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Coordinate and provide education for staff including orientation and reorientation in fire, safety, disaster and infection control. Participate in Nursing Administration, Education, and Quality Program process. Participate in on-call rotation for nursing department staffing back-up. Excluded is job specific training which will be the responsibility of department supervisors.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and must have graduated from an RN program.
California RN licensure.
CPR qualified or complete training.
Three years experience as a Registered Nurse including two years of clinical experience and one year in nursing staff education.
Computer literate.
This position requires skill in planning and organizing nursing care, knowledge of adult learning skills and program development; of theory and standards of nursing practice; of nursing administration, goals, and objectives; of facility organization; of accrediting agency standards; of principles and methods of supervision and teaching.
This position requires skill in the development of programs to address the learning needs of the staff; in maintaining effective working relationships with others; in effective communication, both verbally and in writing; and in preparing and maintaining: charts, records, reports and proposals.
This position will have demonstrated experience in working with multiple departments or confidential issues in a positive, constructive manner.
This position will also be knowledgeable in the principles of the survey of continuous quality improvement process.
Knowledge of Risk Management Systems is required.
