Description:
Title: Registered Nurse
Shift: Monday through Friday
Location: Tacoma
General Duties include:
• Educate patients on individual treatment plans, medication instruction (schedule, dosage and administration), anticipatory guidance, clarification of physician instructions.
• Coordinates patient treatment and/or procedures, such as In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Intrauterine Insemination (IUI).
• Accepts/makes phone calls regarding laboratory values and semen study results with appropriate explanation and interpretation given.
• Maintains patient waiting lists, maintenance and scheduling cycles. ie. Schedules Embryo Transfers, Embryo Retrievals, Frozen Embryo Transfers and Intrauterine Insemination.
• Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions as permitted.
• Assures quality care by adhering to therapeutic standards; follows physician practice and nursing division philosophies, as well as standards of care set by the state and other governing agency regulations.
• Provide support to the male reproductive patients through patient education, assisting with TESA cases and coordinating with male reproductive urologist.
An ideal candidate will have excellent time management and organizational skills. This position requires independent judgment as well as the ability to work closely with a team of nurses and physicians. Teamwork, along with placing our patients first, is of our highest priority!
2-3 years experience Women's Health and/or OBGYN office preferred. Fertility background desired.
