Under the direction of the Ambulatory Service Center Manager, the ASC Team Member participates in the coordination and delivery of all aspects of patient care delivered in the ambulatory surgery setting maintaining compliance with policies and practice standards. ASC Team Members care reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations and strives to maintain a steady level of productivity in a fast-paced environment. Team members are role models for exemplary behavior practicing excellent interpersonal communication and conflict management skills. Team members demonstrate competence within their scope of service and demonstrate standards of excellence. Team members are flexible in working/supporting all areas of the unit as assigned and actively support service quality measures and initiatives to meet benchmarks and core measures.
The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
Requirements/Preferences:
- Preference will be given to candidates that have a year of experience working in a full service day surgery center.
- OR RN License required or eligible
- ACLS required or eligible, PALS preferred
- One (1) year acute care experience required
- One (1) year experience in area of competency required (Pre/Post/PACU)
- IV skills required
- IV procedural sedation experience required
