Eastern Connecticut Health Network is a 450-bed not-for-profit health system that consists of two hospitals, a long-term care facility, two wellness centers and many other health-care partners. We serve the eastern Connecticut community, providing both inpatient and outpatient services, with a continuum of acute to long-term care from prenatal to geriatric care.Responsibilities:
Responsible for the management of Orthopedic Surgical Care Services. Allocates available resources to promote efficient, effective and compassionate patient care. Provides clinical and administrative leadership and expertise. Facilitates an atmosphere of participative management and the development of collegial relationships. Visible, accessible and committed to communicating effectively with staff. Promotes the profession of nursing and professional practice. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner. Reports to a Director of Patient Care Services.Qualifications:Orthopedic experience required. Must have a strong surgical background.
Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in such program and a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Must have and maintain a current license in the State of Connecticut.
Professional Certification is highly desirable.
Must have at least three (3) years of nursing experience in an acute care setting with demonstrated leadership potential.
Must maintain clinical and managerial competency required for area of assignment including Basic Cardiac Life Support.
