POSITION: CHARGE NURSE- ON-CALL

Friendsview Retirement Community is seeking a caring, responsible individual with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to work in our health care services as an on-call charge nurse.
Job duties include overseeing the day-to-day environment of the Health Care Center to assure quality care is given and resident needs are being met in a way that fosters independence and dignity, protects residents and is in accordance with Friendsview's philosophy of person-centered care. Supervise, provide leadership and promote teamwork of health care personnel. Administer medications and perform treatments according to physician orders.
Required Knowledge & Experience Must have a passion for working with older adults along with geriatric nursing experience. Must be supportive of the values of the Friendsview community, possess a high degree of personal integrity; be able to maintain confidentiality and to interact with a variety of people in a warm, courteous and professional manner. Supervisory experience preferred. Must be able to work cooperatively and maintain positive relationships co-workers in business office and other departments. High school diploma or equivalent required, additional training education in business, customer service, accounting a plus. Must be able to communicate in English verbally and in writing with accurate spelling and grammar.
Hours are various depending on scheduling needs including weekends and holidays. Registered Nurse license preferred.
Starting Wage between $21.50-25.00/hr
Must have an appreciation for the needs of older adults and be willing to support a sense of teamwork and to contribute as needed or assigned. Must be supportive of the Friendsview values and be able to pass a drug test and criminal history check. Must be able to meet Friendsview's attendance standards.
