PCA Registered Nurse--Bilingual (Lawrence, MA)

Essential Functions: (Core duties or tasks that are fundamental and not marginal to the performance of the job)
1. Participate in all consumer assessments and family/surrogate evaluations.
2. Complete the medical components of the consumer assessment forms initially and thereafter per program regulations.
3. Contact the participant's primary care physician to obtain medical information and physician clearance.
4. Participate in an interdisciplinary team of registered nurses and social workers in planning, implementing and evaluating of consumer and PCA surrogates.
5. Conduct medical teaching sessions for care providers and consumers when necessary.
6. Attend appropriate agency and community meetings.
7. Perform related work as directed by Program Manager
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or BA in Human Services preferred; Massachusetts licensed Registered Nurse; minimum of three years clinical experience, one of which must be in community nursing, required. An additional two years of community-based nursing experience may be substituted for a degree (total of five years experience). Bilingual ability needed.
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: $25.99/hour
