PROSAR, an innovative provider of product and drug safety call center services located in St. Paul, MN, has an opening for a fulltime PHARMACOVIGILANCE SPECIALIST.
PROSAR provides valuable services to the pharmaceutical, dietary supplement, medical device, consumer products and chemical industries by providing intake and documentation of calls from pharmaceutical and health & nutrition manufacturers concerning adverse event reports, medical information inquiries and product quality complaints for their products.
POSITION SUMMARY
Manages pharmacovigilance cases including call intake, documentation and case processing which includes: case and event assessment, coding, follow up and completion of MedWatch 3500A/CIOMS forms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
 Call intake for pharmaceutical, DS/OTC and medical device products
 Conduct daily case processing of adverse event, product complaint, medical information and no service provided cases
 Pharmacovigilance case processing
 Complete client notifications as required for case management
 Develop training materials, conduct training presentations and on-the-job-training for call center, medical information and pharmacovigilance staff
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
 Excellent medical knowledge
 Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software
 Excellent oral and written communication skills
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
 Drug safety experience
 Call center experience
 Experience working with databases
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
 Degree: RN, RPh, PharmD or equivalent
 Current MN license for degree or equivalent from another state or country
 2 years working in an acute care setting or community pharmacy
