We are currently looking for a dynamic Manager to support our Case Management Team function in our downtown location. Please review the below job description:
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supervises and coordinates the medical department operations by performing the following duties personally or through case managers and medical coordinator.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Selects, schedules, assists in evaluating staff, adjusting hours and shifts within set guidelines.
•Orients new staff and assures that training and education needs of staff are met.
•Coordinates department, case management activities, and the work assignments of staff members.
•Evaluates activities of department, staff relations, and efficiency of service.
•Assists with the implementation and evaluation of department policies, goals, and objectives.
•Participates in the development and modifications of department programs.
•Monitors and reviews quality assessment activities and analysis.
•Interprets and enforces department and compliance regulations.
•Supports and assists with the implementation of business projects.
•Investigates and resolves complaints, or refers any unresolved escalations to Manager.
•Performs International Nurse Case Manager duties in the event of low staffing.
•Processing basic payroll items, and submitting to the Payroll Supervisor
•Assists the manager to maintain department operations within operating budget.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES.
•Directly supervises nine employees in the Medical Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, directing and evaluating work; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
•Bachelor's degree (B. S.N.) from four-year college or university, and three years of clinical experience, and supervisory experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
•Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, medical procedures, or governmental regulations.
•Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
•Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY
•Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
•Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
•Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and area. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
COMPUTER SKILLS
•To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software; Internet software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations and other skills, abilities
•RN License, BLS (optional), ACLS (optional).
•Certification in Case Management
•Spanish, critical-care, and case management are preferred but not required.
•Up to 10% optional travel. Location: Chicago
