This is a summer seasonal position at the Camp Fire USA Alaska Council residential camp on Kenai Lake. Camp Fire USA Alaska Council is a national leader in youth development and outdoor learning opportunities. Camp Kenai Lake is nestled along the shores of Kenai Lake near Cooper Landing, Alaska. New bunkhouses and multipurpose facility overlook the spruce forests along Kenai Lake in Cooper Landing, Alaska; Camp Kenai Lake provides the perfect environment for youth to explore the natural world around them, engage in challenging activities and form friendships that can last a lifetime. With the supportive guidance of camp counselors, campers build their own unique community in which each member can experience a sense of belonging, connectedness, safety, acceptance and appreciation.
2012 Tentative Camp Dates 6/1/12 -- 8/6/12 (Subject to Update)
Health Manager/Nurse/EMT: is responsible for the management of the camp health plan, including reviewing camper health histories, dispensing medications, coordinating with camp staff and local physicians to manage camper care, responding to first aid needs at camp, and maintaining the health facility and equipment in excellent condition.
QUALIFICATIONS
Current RN certification for the State of Alaska is required (application by endorsement from other states is available), as well as first aid and CPR.
