Santé provides the ideal setting for guests who need monitoring, care and rehabilitation. We offer intensive and personalized rehabilitation programs that include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech and language pathology. Our programs are highly-tailored; goal oriented, and specifically designed to help guests reach their personal best level of function to transition home.

This posting will be used to fill multiple positions on day and evening shift. Shift preference will be taken into consideration at time of interview.
Santé of Mesa is seeking a dynamic, experienced, team-oriented and quality focused professional to assume the role of RN. The RN is responsible for providing direct nursing care to the patients, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is administered at all times.General Responsibilities:
- Cooperate with other patient services when coordinating nursing services to ensure that the patient’s total regimen of care is maintained.
- Admit, transfer, and discharge patients as required.
- Complete and file required recordkeeping forms/charts upon the patient’s admission, transfer, and/or discharge.
- Enter physician’s orders to the electronic medical record, cardex, medication cards, treatment/care plans, as required.
- Chart nurses’ notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the patient, as well as the patient’s response to the care.
- Review medication cards for completeness of information, accuracy in the transcription of the physician’s order, and adherence to stop order policies. Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
- Make daily rounds of your unit/shift to ensure that nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
- Consult with the patient’s physician in providing the patient’s care, treatment, rehabilitation, etc., as necessary.
- Notify the patient’s attending physician and next-of-kin when there is a change in the patient’s condition.
- Administer professional services such as; catheterization, tube feedings, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy, and drainage bags, taking blood, giving massages and range of motion exercises, care for the dead/dying, etc., as required.
- Obtain sputum, urine and other specimens for lab tests as ordered. Working Conditions and Physical/Sensory Requirements:
- Moves constantly during working hours.
- Is involved with patients, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.
- Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset patients, family members, personnel, and visitors.
- Is subject to call back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.).
- Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses.
- May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
- Maintains a liaison with the patients, their families, support departments, etc., to adequately plan for the patients’ needs.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with patients, personnel, and support agencies.
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet. Skills, Knowledge, or Ability:
- Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the patients served.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to work tactfully with personnel, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
- Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
- Must be able to relate information concerning a patient’s condition.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Must currently hold, or be eligible to obtain, unencumbered RN licensure through the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
