for government agency at Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE), Virginia, also referred to as the Military Treatment Facility (MTF)
Must be a US Citizen
Must be RN Licensed
Must have BLS/CPR Certification
Must be able to work M-F
Must be able to pass a Security Background Check

Occupational Health Technician
Duties of the Occupational Health Technician are as follows:
• Maintains occupational health program.
• Identifies personnel requiring pre-placement, periodic, and termination medical examinations.
• Monitors examinations to ensure they are complete and appropriate.
• Participates in formulating occupational health examination requirements for workers at risk for hazardous exposures.
• Manages administrative aspects of the fetal protection program for active duty and civilian workers.
• Ensures completion and distribution of Air Force Form 2766 as part of active member of occupational health working groups.
• Monitors and reports occupational health compliance rates to the occupational health working group and makes recommendations when compliance rates fall below 95%.
• Schedules and conducts occupational health education to industrial shop supervisors and/or personnel on potential hazards within the shop,
including hearing conservation, hazard communication, and industrial chemicals.
• Monitors personnel placed on the United State Air Force (USAF) Hearing Conservation Program to ensure examinations are completed,
& appropriate follow-up is conducted for those individuals experiencing a significant threshold shift.
Ensures required documentation completion/distribution for individuals with permanent shifts.
• Conducts trend analysis of industrial shops/personnel to determine trends and document findings on Air Force Form 2754.
includes reviewing Civilian Accidents Reports ( CA1's), Civilian Accident Illness Report (CA2's), and emergency room logs.
• Maintains industrial "case" files of each industrial shop as identified by Bioenvironmental.
Conducts annual visits of industrial work centers to become familiar with shop procedures and provide education to supervisors/personnel.
• Monitors fetal protection program by ensuring pregnancy profiles are completed within five days from confirmation of pregnancy.
• Maintains a close liaison with Physical Exam Section (PES), Military Personnel Flight (MPF), unit health care monitors, and Consolidated Civilian Personnel Office (CCPO)
to ensure all personnel are identified and receive proper examinations.
• Generates reports, maintain statistics, and written correspondence relative to occupational health activities.
• Validates and reports Public Health Quality Performance Measures (QPM's) for Occupational Health.
• Reports Occupational Health Medical Exam (OHME) status, illness/injury (AF 190) status at OHWG.
• Perform audiograms
• Performs all other additional duties as assigned appropriate to the profession. Location: Langley AFB Virginia
