All powered by the advisors at Life Time.Position Summary: myHealthCheck has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The position will assist with program development and help to use and grow your skills. This position is responsible for the coordination, operation and evaluation of the function comprising the Exemption and Appeals Department of myHealthCheck. Responsibilities include the day-to-day operations of the exemption and appeals program for a given client base, client relations and on-going program development and results. Upholds the fulfillment of Life Time Fitness' Mission Statement.This role may require outreach and conversations with external physicians to discuss participant questions and needs. Acting as a liaison between the participant and myHealthCheck to formulate an appropriate recommendation of action related to myHealthCheck. Additionally, this position may act as an opinion in developing appropriate action plans based on someone's situation.Examples of Work Performed- Document process steps as well as direction/information received from participant and physician offices- Manage in-bound call center operations for myHealthCheck assessment exemption and appeals- Ability to accurately and professionally document exemption and appeals claims and assess risk factors- Identify gaps or barriers in health and wellness plans and provide support and guidance as needed- Assess current medical conditions in relation to desired action plan- Coordinate next steps with participants when medical follow up is necessary- Act as a liaison for myHealthCheck and physician offices- Compile, document and interpret medical appeals forms- Provide patient education to assist with self management and making referrals to outside resources as needed- Encourage members to make healthy lifestyle changes- Represent Life Time / myHealthCheck in a professional, credible and pleasant manner- Understanding of, and ability to follow regulatory guidelines- Follow up on appeals for authorized cases that are classified as pending status- Responsible for evaluating current and proposed systems and procedures and determining and implementing changes as necessary.Assists in the development of operational processes and systems associated with exemption and appealsQualificationsMinimum QualificationsEducation: - Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience- Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN)- A current, Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Minnesota- Certification in area of expertise; CPR certification- 3+ years experience in a hospital setting, acute care, direct care experience OR experience in telephonic case management- Case or disease management experienceKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows- Attention to detail- Strong organization skills- Critical thinking and acute assessment skills- Ability to work in a fast-pace environment that is ever-changing- Ability to think independently and innovativelyPhysical / Mental Requirements and Working ConditionsWork is performed in an office setting.
