Providence Home Health Care is the oldest and largest Home Health provider in the state of Alaska. Multidisciplinary services include skilled nursing, psychiatric nursing, physical, occupational, speech therapy, home health aide, medical social worker, and spiritual care.
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse for Providence Home Health Care in Anchorage, Alaska. This is for an on-call, after hours positions but could easily turn into full-time.
In this position, you will:
Be accountable for the delivery and supervision of safe, quality care that is individualized for their assigned patients and follows the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act (assessment, planning implementation, evaluation).
Responsible for the assessment, treatment and care of patients in populations and ages as assigned.
Direct, delegate and manage the care delivered by colleagues and subordinates.
Access, analyze, customize, coordinate and communicate the patient's plan of care and activities collaboratively with other members of the health care team.
Include families and or significant others within the plan of care as appropriate.
Accept and promote professional development as an integral part of nursing practice.
Performs all duties in a manner that respects and supports the family centered care model.
Qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska. Must have a valid AK driver's license and auto insurance in accordance with state automobile laws.
One year Registered Nurse experience in an acute care hospital preferred unless hired as an intern or fellow.
Schedule varies to meet department needs.
Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks, and work with a variety of health unit teams.
