Our client one of the nations premier health care systems is seeking a
Clinical Nurse Specialist- Psychiatric/Mental Health to join their team in Delaware.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is responsible for improvement and maintenance of scientifically based clinical nursing care in an area of specialized nursing practice. The CNS achieves this by providing direct and indirect care to patients and their families, promoting staff development, disseminating and conducting research and working with interdisciplinary teams.
1. Practices collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers to provide high quality health care.
2. Utilizes advanced knowledge and specialized skill in nursing practice in accordance with the Delaware Nurse Practice Act, hospital policy and standards.
3. Demonstrates proficiency in the care of all age group; neonates, infants, toddlers, school aged, adolescents, and adults.
4. Provides direct nursing care to selected patients.
5. Assists Health care team in formulating the plan of care and setting priorities based on the needs of patient and family.
6. Assists other nursing personnel to collaborate with physicians and other related health professionals to provide optimal care.
7. Evaluates the quality of patient care provided.
8. Acts as a patient advocate.
A. Education, Training and Experience
1. Master of Science in Nursing.
2. Previous Psych/Mental Health experience required.
3. Five years of related clinical experience.
B. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
1. Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Delaware.
2. Current Clinical Nurse Specialist license in the State of Delaware, with or without prescriptive authority. Location: Wilmington, Delaware
