Description Responsibilities:

RN or LPN performs case absraction for the selected clinical measures to ensure accurate and reliable data capture in a time sensitive arena
Registered Nurse performs data entry review of information and be proficient in using an electronic web based application
R.N. uses published clinical based criteria for the selected HEDIS measures
RN or LPN successfully passes inter-rater reliability testing for all HEDIS review measures
Discuss case review at informal conferences
Individual Leadership:
RN or LPN Works with the team to achieve contract and corporate goals
Registered Nurse collaborates with the Project Lead to establish and facilitate a high-quality product
R.N. or LPN ensures that information is communicated effectively and on time
Prioritize work load and communicate project status to ensure deliverable due dates are met
Work with the Medical Director and Project Lead to ensure success of project deliverables Requirements Requirements
Current RN or LPN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Bachelor’s degree preferred (Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree considered with appropriate experience)
Experience in Doctors offices or outpatient sites
Prior experience with HEDIS review preferred
Experienced in basic computer skills and data entry
Experienced in all forms of electronic communication
Familiar with medical terminology and documentation processes
Excellent verbal, written and phone skills
Able to prioritize and problem solve
Plan and monitor progress of cases to meet contract deliverables
Is able to apply complex clinical and regulatory criteria for the evaluation of clinical documentation
Make decisions independently
Accept and offer constructive feedback
Use communication skills to develop positive relationships with internal and external customers
Explain HEDIS review processes in an understandable manner
Demonstrate team participation to maximize projects and department success
Under HIPA guidelines, handle information with a high level of security and confidentiality
