Haven Behavioral is seeking Days and Nights, Full-Time and PRN Psychiatric Registered Nurses to support our North Denver facility in Thornton, Colorado. Our Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing nursing services to all assigned patients and serves as an active member of the inter-disciplinary treatment team; interfaces with the Charge Nurse, the physician, treatment team, and clinical services routinely to ensure patient needs are met on a comprehensive level; implements treatment according to physician orders, follows direction from the Charge Nurse, and the treatment plan; interfaces with external medical/therapy providers, social service entities and family members as deemed needed for optimal treatment; assumes responsibility for risk management, infection control and universal precautions; intervenes in crisis situations with approved behavioral and/or clinical interventions; administers and monitors medications per physician orders; maintains an effective and efficient working and treatment environment; provides educational information to patients and family members when appropriate; takes responsibility for the oversight of the Mental Health Tech staff on shift and assumes responsibility for staff directly assigned to the RN. There are two levels of commitment, a high and a low commitment that PPN RN's need to sign for this position.
General Background and Minimum Requirements:
Licensed RN in the state of Colorado
Two years of acute psychiatric care and/or geriatric care experience preferred.
CPR Certified
