Hourly Rate: $29.73 + Depending on Experience

Providence is calling a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK.
In this position, you will:
Provide professional nursing care to patients on units throughout the medical center.
Work in a challenging environment providing acute care to patients on medical, surgical, telemetry step down units, Emergency Department, Adult Critical Care and the Children's Hospital.
Participate in unit decision making through shared governance.
Accept and promote professional development as an integral part of nursing practice.
Access, analyze, customize, coordinate and communicate the patient's plan of care and activities collaboratively with other members of the health care team. Families and or significant others will be included within the plan of care as appropriate.
Direct, delegate and manage the care delivered by colleagues and subordinates.
Performs all duties in a manner that respects and supports the family centered care model. Collegial and collaborative care will reflect the philosophy of the Division of Nursing, the Mission and Core Values of the Sisters of Providence, and National Patient Safety Standards.
Qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska at time of hire.
One year Registered Nurse experience in an acute care hospital preferred.
Schedule varies to meet department needs. Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks, and work with a variety of health unit teams.
Preference given to individuals with multiple areas of experience.
About the Float Pool
The Float Pool RN at PAMC provides care to patients throughout the medical center. Assignments are based on the skill level of the RN which may include: Medical, Surgical; Telemetry; Post Partum; Pediatric; Orthopedic; Ambulatory Surgery; PACU; Renal Care; and Emergency Department. RNs with current critical care experience work in Adult Critical Care; Cardiovascular Interventional Unit; PCU; PACU and ED and may also have the opportunity to orient to the Rapid Response Team. All staff receives training and orientation before they are assigned to any unit. The Float Pool is an excellent department to gain new nursing skills and grow professionally.
