A full service regional hospital, including adult and pediatric care, emergency/trauma, labor and delivery, critical care, cardiac cath lab, inpatient and outpatient surgical and procedural area, inpatient and outpatient therapies. Brand New Facility!!!
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: RN - OB/ Women's Center
Effective Date: Spring 2012; Hiring now and will train at a satellite facility to learn the equipment and charting system
Shift: 12 hours
8 bed L&D
Nurse assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specific work period. The hurse has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of adolescent, adult and geriatric female patients as well as neonates. Perinatal and Gyn Services includes childbirth classes, perinatal outpatients, antepartum, labor and delivery, recovery, infant care in operating room, post-partum, newborn nursery, follow-up programs, and gynecology.
Advanced department specific skills required are labor support, lactation, family care, technical skills such as cervical checks, neonatal resuscitation/ stabilization, fetal monitoring, etc.
Required Skills; Graduate from a NLN or AACN nursing program strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable. BA in nursing preferred
Required Experience: NRP and BLS certifications are required within 1yr of employment. ACLS certification is required for all Coordinators within 1yr of employment. Successful completion of the S.T.A.B.L.E. program required within 1yr of employment. Must be currently licensed with the applicable State Nursing Board and/ or possess multistate licensure privileges as required by position
The position requires work during Evenings, Rotating, Various, Holidays, Weekends, Nights, Days
