Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Services Manager (Southeast Region(FL,MS, GA, TX))

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager is responsible for working in collaboration with the team to ensure that high quality care is delivered in a customer service driven environment and to support business goals. The Manager hires and supervises the performance of the Nurse Practitioners that care for members in nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities (SNF) and home settings. The Manager directly oversees assigned Nurse Practitioners within their assigned team and is responsible for overseeing quality of assessments and productivity on a daily basis. The Manager will report any quality of care and other issues to their Director. The Manager consults with the Nurse Practitioners to ensure compliance with guidelines and takes steps to implement training as indicated. The Manager participates in Risk and Quality Management programs, clinical meetings and other meetings as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Interviews, hires, counsels develops and manages the performance of the Nurse Practitioners and other assigned staff (including termination when necessary).
• Leads the assigned clinical team to meet job requirements.
• Responsible for approving vacation and time off for their assigned team and for ensuring adequate coverage.
• Conducts Joint Visits for mentoring and evaluation of Nurse Practitioners one day per month per Nurse Practitioner and reviews a specified number of records/assessments per Nurse Practitioner per month.
• Educates and develops clinical team members in the execution and compliance with QA process, including the completion of all Health Risk Assessments within defined quality standards.
• Communicates staff training needs.
• Escalates staff job performance issues to Director as appropriate.
• Assures adherence to regulatory and compliance policies and procedures, established clinical metrics and standards.
• Function as a "Change Agent" to ensure common understanding of the vision and organizational goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
• Minimum 5 years practicing experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory or other demonstrated leadership experience.
• Master's Degree in Nursing required
• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner.
• Must be able to create/edit documents in word processing and enter data in spreadsheet programs.
• Effective written communication skills including but not limited to writing reports and correspondence.
• Effective verbal communication skills including but not limited to speaking effectively to members, providers, families and staff along with situations that may involve addressing conflict.
• Demonstrated ability to read and correctly interpret business related documents
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated successful experience working in an environment of change.
• Must have a valid state driver's license
• Must have proof of adequate automobile insurance coverage for the state of residence.
• Must have proof of current CPR certification Location: Southeast Region(FL,MS, GA, TX)
Compensation: 100-110K
