On-Call Nurses (The Salvation Army)

We are seeking Nurses for Clitheroe Center's Specialized Treatment Unit (STU) which is a medically supported detoxification unit. Applicants will work on call or intermittent hours for shifts such as nights, evenings, and/or weekends. We offer competitive starting wages and an opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Currently licensed by the Alaska Board of Nursing as an RN or LPN. Medical experience in a detoxification unit preferred. Behavioral health experience preferred but not required.
FUNCTION: Provide nursing care to detoxing and post-detox clients at Point Woronzof. Administer medications according to standing orders. Provide motivational counseling to encourage a sober and drug free lifestyle. Document client observations and status of withdrawal. Perform nursing duties within established policies and procedures.
