The Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS) is seeking full-time Registered Nurse to become the Operating Room Nurse Manager. The Nurse Manager is designated as front-line supervisory authority, responsibility, and accountability for the operations of Surgical Service Line areas: ORs, PACU, Endoscopy, Specialty Clinic, and Eye Clinic, ensuring that subordinate personnel provide timely nursing care which complies with generally accepted standards of clinical practice.Typical workweek is 40 hours, Monday â” Friday, 8:00 to 4:30 The Veterans Health Administration offers an attractive comprehensive compensation package and balanced lifestyle.ÂYour current, unrestricted license in any state will allow you to practice in this facility.ÂPartners and EducationAs a teaching hospital, Cheyenne VAMC provides a full range of services, with state-of-the-art technology as well as education and research. Cheyenne VAMC is primarily affiliated with theUniversity of Wyoming*. We offer residency training in all major medical and surgical specialties and subspecialties. Associated Health Training is offered in nursing, psychology, audiology, social work, dietetics, and pharmacy.Each year, Cheyenne VAMC funds medical and nearly one dozen dental resident slots. We also train nearly 400 students in these slots. Training is also provided to over 400 nursing and associated health trainees.The Medical Center at Cheyenne provides primary and secondary inpatient services in medicine and surgery as well as outpatient services in medicine, surgery and psychiatry. Presently, the Medical Center has an operating bed level of 21 hospital beds: 12 general medical beds, 5 intermediate beds and 4 general surgical beds. The Medical Center also supports a 50-bed Nursing Home Care Unit located within the main hospital building. Cheyenne maintains a Regional Office on the grounds of the Center, and Community Based Outpatient Clinics in Fort Collins and Greeley, Colorado, and Sidney, Nebraska.93 miles N of Denver; 180 miles S of CasperCheyenne is located in the southeast corner of the state. Legend has it that when Gen. Grenville M. Dodge’s surveying crew trudged across the prairie, picking a route for the transcontinental railroad, night came, they were tired, they stopped and said, “Good as any,” and thus was born the present site of Cheyenne. By horse or by highway, you can’t miss Cheyenne, not only the largest city in Wyoming (population: 56,000) but also its capital.
