RN CLINICAL EDUCATOR-PERIOPERATIVE SERVICES

The Ideal Candidate:
• Bachelors Degree In Nursing - ESSENTIAL
• RN Arizona License - ESSENTIAL
• CNOR - PREFERRED
• 3+ Years of in the Perioperative Arena - ESSENTIAL
• 3+ Years of RN Circulating Experience in the Main O.R. -- ESSENTIAL
• 2+ Years in a Position with Primary Responsibility for Design & Delivery of Adult Learning Programs -- PREFERRED.
• Microsoft Office Experience -- ESSENTIAL
• Excellent Presentation, Facilitation & Computer Technology Skills -- ESSENTIAL
Position Summary:
• Assures seamless orientation of new and/transferring clinical staff with oversight and influence of the orientation process. Supports & develops staff including preceptors, new graduates & experienced nurses while acting as a role model for proficient clinical practice, patient safety & evidence based practice.
• Develops & implements strategic workforce learning & development service to support the achievement of workforce goals, quality initiatives & clinical practice. Critically assesses plans, develops & delivers clinical curriculum, developmental programs & services. Facilitates learning using multiple modalities.
• Coordinates & facilitates annual competencies. Evaluates learning effectiveness using standardized outcome measurements. Utilizes performance measures & workforce needs to drive education plans & learning strategies whilst maintaining appropriate documentation.
• Performs as change agent & leads in the interpretation & evaluation of performance goals and objectives and quality management activities.
• Provides clinical leadership. Establishes visibility & credibility and participates in unit/facility shared leadership.
Hours:
40 Hours per week - Flexibility of hours required to educate staff on all shifts.
This position requires some travel to facilitators within AZ region.
